Morgantown
Morgantown isn’t just the city on our church’s address, it’s home. Here are a few of our favorite spots around town – maybe you’ll run into us as you head out and explore the city!
Black Bear Burritos
We go here a lot, enjoy the food, the music, and the anti-slick vibe. It’s worth hanging out here just to see the amazing art they feature on the walls.
Blue Moose Café
We like coffee a lot, but even better at Blue Moose, where the atmosphere is warm and organic. They have open-mic nights and live music on occasion.
Tailpipes
Great burgers! Definitely a team favorite.
Maxwell’s
We like the interesting menu and the subversive location. Good place for a warm conversation with a friend.
BOPARC
Morgantown has great parks like Dorsey’s Knob, Hazel Ruby McQuain Park, Rail Trail, and Krepps Park. There is no excuse for sitting in front of a TV all day in this town.
Chestnut Ridge Park
Have a picnic, go on a hike, camp, sled, rent a paddle-boat, or listen to live mountain music. This is a great park - you will find us here often!
Cooper’s Rock State Forest
The hiking, rock climbing, and the panoramic views are incredible. We still can’t believe this is only 20 minutes from downtown.
Monongalia Arts Center
Some of the best art exhibitions in town in a great gallery.
Adventure’s Edge
This place has everything for adventures on water, road, trail, and rock. Their employees are very knowledgeable and helpful as well.
Appalachian Gallery
Hollers have undiscovered artists, and the Appalachian Gallery has the eyes to see them. This is a great way to support WV artisans.
