FAQ
Where is your church located?
We are a church without a central location. We meet in living rooms and coffee shops throughout the city to study the Bible, pray, and strategize for mission. Eventually, when size dictates, we’ll likely rent a space somewhere for larger gatherings.
Does Morgantown need another church?
Morgantown could use at least a dozen more mega-sized churches, or hundreds of smaller churches, based on the statistics which indicate that somewhere around 70% of the area’s people are not affiliated with any local religious body. Morgantown is also an important city in the region and a great place for equipping and sending out God’s people into other areas to see churches multiply. Morgantown needs more great churches!
What about preaching?
Without a doubt, preaching is vitally important. God has revealed his will to us through words in the Bible, and so we believe that teaching, hearing, and being changed by those words is central to everything the church does. In the New Testament, preaching entails more than a pulpit and an audience, and many things the Bible calls “preaching” are things that every believer is called to do, speaking God’s Word to others in a variety of circumstances. So, we do all kinds of preaching at Frontier. At this point, however, we don’t have a stage and a crowd, so we are not yet at the place where you will be able to find the kind of preaching you might be used to at other churches. We do a lot of teaching through Bible studies and conversations in order to ensure that we are growing in our knowledge, love, and practice of the Scriptures.
Is there childcare available?
At Frontier, we value families and kids tremendously. Kids are welcome at our Frontier Communities, and our meetings present opportunities for kids to interact and learn both with other kids and with the group as a whole.
